Prison Island
Prison island is an island next to Stone Town. On this island formerly it was planned to collect slaves from the boats coming to Zanzibar. Because of the forbidding of slavery, prison island never was used for this issue. Ships which came to Zanzibar had to stop at prison island for quarantaine.
On prison island you find also giant turtles. It is amazing to visit them. They like to be caressed.
